If you’re someone who likes wildlife and cool outfits, then it’s only natural that you want to know all of the Trapper locations in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Unlike other types of merchants that are generally present in most towns, the Trapper is a special type of NPC that appears in different locations around the map. And it’s always a good idea to know every spot that you can find him in because you never know when you’ll need to visit him.

So, who is the Trapper, why do you need him and what are all of the Red Dead Redemption 2 Trapper locations? Let’s answer all of these questions!

Who is the Trapper and when do you meet him?

The Trapper is a special type of merchant in Red Dead Redemption 2 who can be found in different places around the game’s map. The best thing that he’s useful for is the fact that he can craft unique outfits and gear for Arthur Morgan.

All that you need to do is to find and hunt Legendary Animals, which then you can skin for their pelt. With the pelts, you can find the Trapper and then hand it over to him. And then he’ll give you the unique items that you seek.

Keep in mind that you will have to give a bit of cash on the side too, just the pelts won’t be enough as a payment. And other animal parts count too, such as perfect hides.

You first meet the Trapper in Red Dead Redemption 2 when you reach Saint Denis, which can be discovered both as a part of the story progression and by exploration.

Saint Denis Trapper Location

What’s often considered the primary location for the Trapper in RDR2 is the Saint Denis market. Especially since it’s the first place that you meet him in through story progression.

You can find his stall in the market. But if you want an easier indicator on the map, look for the Paw icon.

West Elizabeth Trapper Location

On the west of Big Valley, you can find one of the Trapper stalls. It’s a part of the broader West Elizabeth region of the game, which includes one more location. If you ever find yourself close to the Owanjila Lake, then you can simply follow it above until you see the Trapper.

Riggs Station Trapper Location

In another part of West Elizabeth, you can find the Trapper just slightly next to Riggs Station. Another notable place that is close to this is Bard’s Crossing. So, either of the two points will lead you to the right place.

Blackwater Trapper Location

One of the most iconic Red Dead Redemption 2 Trapper locations is in Blackwater. Since you end up visiting that part of the map quite often. It’s located right below Tall Trees on the map, which is connected to Manzanita Post.

One important thing to note about this place is that it’s only accessible after Chapter 6 of the game’s story mode. This is an exception compared to other Red Dead Redemption 2 Trapper locations, as they are accessible early on in the game as well.

It’s more beneficial to visit him once the game introduces you to him officially. Because you won’t be able to hunt down too many Legendary Animals with early gear.

New Hanover

On the top right side of the Emerald Station, you can find the fifth and last Trapper location in RDR2. Another easy path to it is to track the Elysian Pool and you can find the New Hanover Trapper location on its left side.

As usual, if you feel lost, simply open the game’s map and you will be able to locate the Trapper by using the paw icon. All you have to do after that is to make your way to the place.

Best Items to Sell to the Trapper

The Trapper can craft 16 unique pieces of clothing items for Arthur. You can buy them using Legendary Animal parts and money. You need both of these two things, as there isn’t a choice to use only money to buy the items and vice versa.

For example, the Legendary Bear Coat requires a Legendary Bear Pelt, a Perfect Bison Pelt, and $28 dollars.

So, it essentially just depends on what you want the Trapper to craft for you. Once you have something in your sight, you can hunt Legendary Animals down for it. Players often sell Legendary Bear Pelts and perfect animal hides to the Trapper when they don’t have a set goal.

These are all of the Red Dead Redemption 2 Trapper locations! We hope that you found this guide useful and are already on your way to hunt down some Legendary Animals.
